Toshi and Yasu Kizaki (Izakaya Den, OTOTO and Sushi Den) have brought Japanese food and philanthropy efforts to a happy medium with Den Corner’s “Summer Rooftop Party”. Toshi and Yasu raised over $52,000 for earthquake relief efforts for their hometown, Kumamoto, Japan. The event kicked off with authentic Japanese chefs making traditional dishes, such as ramen noodles, while pairing sake to bring out the flavors of every bite.

Didn’t catch the “Summer Rooftop Party”? Den Corner features all three restaurants (Izakaya Den, OTOTO, and Sushi Den) on South Pearl Street, including a new parking garage with 200 parking spaces, where the event was held. Izakaya Den allows you to immerse yourself in Japanese culture by learning to make sushi on Wednesdays, while OTOTO offers a sake pairing dinner series every other month. Wherever your interests may lie, Den Corner truly is creating magic in Denver.
