Ellen Marchman
Principal
As the principal of Get Ink Public Relations, Ellen Marchman applies her expertise
to a series of hospitality clientele including Kimpton Hotels and Restaurant Group,
Miami Boutique Hotels, and the Pelican Hotel; lifestyle destinations such as Exhale
Spa at EPIC and Salon Vaso; fine dining destinations such as Area 31 at EPIC Hotel,
AltaMare Restaurant, Cobalt at Vero Beach Hotel and Spa, Rosa Mexicano the famed
Los Angeles eatery The Grill on the Alley.
Ellen received the coveted 2009 “Women in Excellence” award from the National Association
of Professional & Executive Women. She contributes regularly to Hospitality Design
Magazine and Denver’s Fine Dining Examiner, she enjoys being a part
of the executive committee for the Friends of New World Symphony and the culinary
group for Eat Denver and is a founding member of the Soho Beach House.
With over 15 years in the public relations industry, Ellen has a savvy knowledge
of culture and demographics and maintains trusted public relations partners nationally.
Ellen’s in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry stems from in-house experience
with world-class boutique hotels such as the Sagamore Hotel. Get ink’s top-notch
roster of clients includes the Loews Hotel, Pangaea Lounge at the Hard Rock Hotel,
Conde Nast Media Group’s Wine and Spirit Focus along with culinary experts such
as “Top Chef” Jeff McInnis, Roberto Santibañez, Carmen Gonzalez and Andrew Rothschild.
She has great depth in special events and has created and executed events for Art
Basel, James Beard Foundation, Miami Film Festival and Miami Fashion Week.
Ellen was an account supervisor with a top Los Angeles public relations firm from
1995 - 2001, which allowed her to acquire extensive experience with such clients
as Bombay Sapphire Gin, McCallans, Campari, and Remy Martin. During her tenure at
Magnet Communications, she represented upscale restaurants including Mr. Chow Beverly
Hills, Ben Ford’s Chadwick in Beverly Hills, and Pino Luongo’s Coco Pazzo at Ian
Schrager’s Mondrian Hotel. She has implemented numerous public relations campaigns
and community partnerships for companies such as California Pizza Kitchen, Jamba
Juice, Whole Foods Market, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Baja Fresh, and Starbucks Coffee.
Ellen graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts
in Political Science. Her public relations career began with the Office of the Mayor
in Denver, Colorado. While in the press office, she was a direct liaison between
Mayor Wellington Webb, the media, and constituents. She went on to work with the
mayor as the communications coordinator while he campaigned successfully for his
second term.
Ellen grew up in Santa Fe, NM where she developed a deep appreciation for art, history
and culture. Her grandfather was the Governor of New Mexico, and her first professional
position was with the Santa Fe School of Cooking, which influenced her greatly and
helped develop her passion for food and wine.
Olee Fowler
Olee Fowler is the Communications Specialist at Get Ink PR where she executes initiatives
and campaigns for restaurant and lifestyle accounts. With a natural flair for communicating
in new and unique ways, she was quickly drawn to the public relations profession
where she could continue to cultivate her talent across traditional and non-traditional
mediums.
Prior to joining Get Ink PR, Olee worked on several PR accounts in her native Miami
and throughout the United States for hospitality clients like the W South Beach,
consumer clients that include BODUM and iSi and lifestyle clients such as The Webster
boutique, in addition to helping execute large-scale events and fundraisers for
various organizations.
Olee holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida,
and is a self-proclaimed “foodie” who enjoys spending her free time discovering
new restaurants around South Florida and sharpening her cooking skills. She can
be found volunteering with the Junior League of Miami and on any given Saturday
cheering on her beloved Gator football team.
Sarah Prawer
Sarah Prawer is the Account Specialist at Get Ink PR where she oversees client accounts
in the hospitality and lifestyle industries. She was drawn to public relations through
her love of writing and enjoys channeling this passion into strategic messaging
that provides organizations with a unique voice.
Prior to joining Get Ink PR, Sarah honed her experience in a variety of national
and boutique agencies in the Tampa Bay, Orlando, and South Florida markets. In these
roles, she supported teams on a variety of corporate and nonprofit accounts, including
the Hilton Orlando, Florida Power & Light, and the Hispanic Business Initiative
Fund.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Miami
and a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Florida. She gained
valuable knowledge of the growing trend of social media through her graduate work,
which focused on the role of social media participation in public relations. Having
lived in several parts of Florida in addition to her hometown of St. Petersburg,
Sarah is happy to have returned to Miami and loves taking in all that South Florida
has to offer.
